Ready na,” Palicte told ABS-CBN Sports. “Kahit na ngayon pa ang bakbakan namin handa na tayo against Rodriguez. Pinaghandaan ko talaga ang laban na ito.”Now on a hot streak, the 26-year-old was victorious in his last three matches against Cantu and fellow Filipino boxers Vergilio Silvano and John Mark Apolinario.Palicte, who also wields the WBO Inter-Continental and the IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight belts, will be parading an impressive 23-2-0 win-loss-draw ring record, including 19 stoppage victories. The 28-year-old Rodriguez, on the other hand, has 32-6-0 win-loss-draw slate, with 19 knockout victories.
