AC Milan keen to sign Man City defender on loan

first_img Matija Nastasic in action for Manchester City AC Milan want to sign Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic on loan in January and exercise an option to sign the Serbian on a permanent basis next summer.The Italian giants have made an initial enquiry for the 21-year-old centre-back, who has not featured for Manuel Pellegrini’s side since the 3-0 defeat against Arsenal in the Community Shield in August.Nastasic’s stay at the Etihad Stadium has been blighted by injury since his move to the title-holders from Fiorentina two years ago for £10m and Milan believe they could give the Serbian international the chance to realise his potential at the San Siro.According to Calciomercato, Milan, under the managerial reigns of former favourite Filippo Inzaghi, are ready to swoop for the defender and sign him on a loan contract for the rest of the season.With City’s central defensive ranks filled by Vincent Kompany and Martín Demichelis, Nastasic’s first-team opportunities are likely to be limited in Manchester and Milan are confident they can offer him regular football. 1last_img
