(Getty Images)HIGHLIGHTSIshan Kishan scored a quick half-century to guide India A to a win over South Africa AKrunal Pandya remained unbeaten on 23 to help India A chase 163-run targetIndia A have taken a 2-0 lead over South Africa AIndia A managed to beat South Africa A by 2 wickets with 6 balls to spare after a game-changing innings from wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan in the second second unofficial ODI in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.India looked in control of the game with Shubman Gill (21) and Anmolpreet Singh (30) at the crease but the course of the match changed when the hosts lost wickets in quick succession.India A were 115 for 4 after 14 overs when Ishan Kishan came out to bat. The young batsman scored 25-ball 55 and bludgeoned five fours and four sixes to bail India A out of a tricky situation.After Kishan departed in the 15th over, onus fell on Krunal Pandya (23*) to keep the run chase going but the all-rounder kept losing partners in his bid to guide India A over the line. India A lost 3 wickets in 6 balls in the death overs but managed to conceal victory in a dramatic finish.India won the toss and decided to field as the match got delayed by almost five hours due to wet outfield and was forced to be reduced to 21-over per side.South Africa were reduced to 15 for 2 in the first 4 overs after both their openers departed cheaply. Reeza Hendricks, who had smashed a hundred in the opening game, scored a lone run in the second ODI.Skipper Temba Bavuma then took the team to 75/4 with his 40 off 33-ball knock but it was George Linde’s who hammered 5 sixes in his unbeaten 25-ball 52 that helped South Africa post a 163-run target for India A.advertisementIn the opening one-dayer, Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube’s big-hitting prowess was well complemented by senior international Yuzvendra Chahal’s five-wicket haul as the hosts comfortably beat South Africa A by 69 runs.Dube remained unbeaten on 79 to help India 327 for 6 in 47 overs.
