ESPN’s Bowl Projection For Georgia Heading Into The Georgia Tech Game

The Bulldogs now have two huge games coming up – and they’ll need to win both to wind up in the playoff.First up is in-state rival Georgia Tech, which has won seven games on the season. After that, the Bulldogs get their crack at Alabama in the SEC title game.Two wins would land Georgia in either the Cotton Bowl or the Orange Bowl – the two national semifinal games in the College Football Playoff this year.ESPN’s two bowl projection analysts – Kyle Bonagura and Mitch Sherman – don’t see it working out that way. Both have the Bulldogs in a New Year’s Six game, however.Bonagura and Sherman both project Georgia to the Allstate Sugar Bowl – taking on Oklahoma. That game is on New Year’s Day at 8:45 PM ET.Georgia fans wouldn’t need to travel too far – the game would be in the Superdome in New Orleans. But obviously, fans want more.Georgia, last season, came within a few plays of taking down Alabama in the national title game. This year, they have a shot to possibly knock them out of the event before it even gets started.last_img
