YouTube bringing paid streaming services to Canada

first_imgAdvertisement YouTube is finally bringing its subscription services to Canada.The company announced that it is launching two new services, YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, next Tuesday in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea, and then much more widely, including in Canada in the coming weeks. There is no date announced for launch here. The services replace YouTube Red, its current paid video platform, which is ad-free and hosts the company’s original productions, including Karate Kid spinoff series Cobra Kai.“YouTube Music is a new music streaming service made for music: official songs, albums, thousands of playlists and artist radio plus YouTube’s tremendous catalog of remixes, live performances, covers and music videos that you can’t find anywhere else — all simply organized and personalized,” said a post on the company’s official blog.
